Why is this service free?

Living in Florida and dealing with hurricanes every summer, this project started out as a glorified spreadsheet a few of us could use to easily record our possessions so we were prepared for the worst. As word got out, it quickly expanded to something our friends and families started using. 

Knowing what the service is worth and the trouble it can save down the road, we could easily put a price tag on it like other companies have, but, we have other business ventures that pay the bills so why not help people out and give it away for free? We may add some advertising at some point so the website can support itself, but we have no plans to ever charge you maintain your property inventory.
